When checked, clicking any spot on the map opens the full design panel for that address. Uncheck to pan without opening panels.

Building / use type:
Fill = CEC Title 24 climate zone (1–16). ▨ hatched = continuous air barrier REQUIRED for this occupancy. 2022 Title 24 Part 6 §120.7 requires a continuous air barrier for the opaque envelope of nonresidential, high-rise residential & hotel/motel in all CA climate zones. Low-rise residential uses air-sealing measures (§110.7) only — no hatch.
R-5 10 15 20 25 30+ Minimum continuous (above-deck / air-impermeable) insulation R needed to keep the roof deck above dew point in an unvented assembly — IBC 1202.3 / IRC R806.5 by IECC zone. Colder zone = more R.
Marine (C) climate — the coastal strip A Marine climate (IECC / ASHRAE 169 "C" zones) is a west-coast climate: mild temperatures, a warm dry summer and a cool wet winter, near the ocean. It's what triggers the stucco drainage-mat and interior vapor-retarder requirements — so most of your coastal CA / OR / WA work is "marine."
▨ Marine (coastal) — drainage mat over 2-ply WRB
Non-marine — 2 layers of WRB only California (CBC). Stucco over wood-based sheathing needs two layers of WRB statewide (CBC 2510.6). In the marine coastal zones, CBC / IBC 2510.6.2 also require a drainage means ≥90% efficient (ASTM E2273) — a drain mat / rainscreen on top of the two-ply WRB (hatched).
HZ5 — freeze / seasonal (PNW, cold, mountain)
HZ10 — hot / sunny / mild-marine (most of CA) James Hardie's HardieZone product regions, approximated from the IECC zone (HZ5 in zones 4C and colder, HZ10 in 1–3). Governs which HardieBoard / ColorPlus products & fastening apply — confirm at hardiezone.com.
